Many times, I find blogs to be so overwhelming: both to write and to read, with so much information about a subject fit into such a small space. So the goal of this blog is not to overwhelm you (or me!) but to keep each post to one picture and a small caption - no more, no less. To wet your appetite, and keep you coming back for more :)
As most of you know, I will be researching bamboo during the month of June in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Though, I hope this trip will be equal parts work and play as I'm also anxious to meet some locals, learn um pouco de português (a little Portuguese), and explore the city.
